Health & Safety Waiver
Effective [launch date]. Questions: [support email].
Please read this before you start. By creating an account or checking the agreement box, you (or, for a minor, the parent or guardian) agree to it.
1. Not medical advice
Untapped Potential ("we," "us") gives general fitness, mobility, and nutrition information. It is not medical advice and does not replace a doctor, physical therapist, athletic trainer, or registered dietitian. Calorie, protein, and other targets are estimates.
2. Check with a doctor first
Talk to your doctor before starting any new exercise or nutrition program, especially if you have a heart, lung, joint, or other health condition, an injury, high blood pressure, diabetes, are pregnant or recently gave birth, take medication, or are an older adult.
3. Know your limits
- Use good form and choose weights you can control.
- Stop right away if you feel pain, dizziness, chest pain, or shortness of breath, and get medical help if it does not go away.
- If an exercise bothers an injury, use the injury swap or skip it. Train in a safe space with proper equipment and footwear, and use a spotter for heavy lifts.
4. Assumption of risk
Exercise, sports drills, plyometrics, and conditioning carry a risk of injury, including muscle strains, sprains, fractures, and in rare cases serious injury. You choose to take part voluntarily and accept these risks.
5. Release
To the fullest extent allowed by law, you release Untapped Potential, its owner, coaches, and partners from claims for injury, illness, or loss that come from using the programs, workouts, drills, meal plans, or coaching, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
6. Youth athletes (under 18)
Athletes under 18 may only use Untapped Potential through a parent or guardian account. The parent or guardian agrees to this waiver for the child, supervises training as appropriate for the child's age, and makes sure the child is healthy enough to take part. Youth plans for 14 and under never include heavy barbell or Olympic lifts or calorie cuts.
7. Nutrition
Meal plans and grocery lists are general suggestions. Check every ingredient for allergies and intolerances. Anyone with a medical condition or special diet should follow their doctor's or dietitian's guidance.
